TUT: the Time Under Tension push-up board and battles
Stay in plank, keep pushing, and see how long you can stay under tension.
TUT means Time Under Tension. In a TUT set you stay in plank and keep pushing. The clock runs nonstop from Start, and your phone camera counts each full rep. Standing up or dropping to your knees is flagged, and the clock keeps running. Video never uploads. Sign in and your time can rank on the TUTS board, the Time Under Tension Scoreboard.
Three ways to train
- Time under tension set: one nonstop set; the whole session counts.
- Sets: regular counted sets.
- Three-minute challenge: a fixed 3:00 clock with no pause. Each hold at the top counts for at most 10 seconds of tension. Score is reps plus seconds under tension.
TUT Battles
Challenge a friend head to head for three minutes. Make a room, share the code, and both tap ready. A shared 5-second countdown starts the 3:00 clock on both phones, and each phone counts its own reps. Stand up, drop a knee, or leave the frame for 2 seconds and you lose on the spot. If nobody breaks, more time under tension wins, then more reps; still tied is a draw.
You can add an optional ZAB wager. Both players lock in the same amount, the winner takes the pot, a tie refunds both, and leaving or 30 seconds of silence is a forfeit. Every 10 push-ups or 60 seconds of TUT also earns 1 ZAB, and clean battles build your reputation. This is an honor system, not a form judge and not medical treatment. See ZAB and the plank page.
